Shree Mahalakshmi Temple at Karla, Lonavala, Maharashtra
Project Details

Mahalaxmi Temple of total area 6,000 Sft. designed & supervised by Renowned temple Architect Shri. Subhash Govind Bhoite from Mumbai. The cost of Temple is wholly sponsored by Shri. Rajendra S. Ghuwalewala Jee, Mumbai and Temple Murti Sthapana Puja performed by Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, Shankaracharya Jee.

Shree Mahalaxmi with Shree Kali Mata and Shree Saraswati together in one Garbha Griha. Other four more Deities also installed there with Separate Garbhagriha & Parikrama. Total five Garbha Griha in the Temple. One main Garbha Griha of Shree Mahalaxmi at front side of entry, and other four at corner of Sabha Mandap. Two more Deities are installed at entrance of the temple; one Shree Ganesha and other Maharaj Agrasen. So, totally seven Deities are installed in temple building. One more small temple for Baba Bhairav also built there at corner. A Hawan Kund also built separately at Agni (South-East) Corner for performing Puja.

Grand sizes artistically sand stone carved Entrance gate of temple complex is welcoming all Devotees. Big sized white marble carved statues of Shree Vishnu Deva in form of Dasha Avatar are in relief work are fixed in exterior wall from exterior side. White marble ornately carving of Columns, Arches, Door Frames and other are beautifully done with Temple Architecture concepts. Artistic inlay works in white marble floor along with decorative colorful False ceiling added beauty in the temple interior; which enhanced religious ambiance in temple premises.

Tall five nos. Lotus flower based Shikharas with white marble cladding and sand stone Amalsara with tall shining brass Kalash & Flag rods are also adding grandness of the temple. Central half round dome with Lotus design showing symbol of Shree Mahalaxmi. This grand sized artistically carved sand stone & marble art work is appreciated by all the visitors.
